James Patrick Dixon II is an American basketball coach who was the head coach of the men's basketball team TCU Horned Frogs, where he played college basketball. Previously, he was the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's basketball team from 2003 to 2016. In 2009, he was the head coach of the US National Basketball Team. In 2009 FIBA Under-19 for which he was named the 2009 National Basketball Coach of the United States. Dixon was named Coach of the Year at Big East in 2004, Coach of the Year at Naismith College in 2009, Coach of the Year of the National Jim Phelan in 2010 and National Coach of the Year in 2010.
