Channing Tatum decided to take a break from social media a few weeks ago and now, his girlfriend, singer Jessie J chose to do the same. Here’s why!
The star took to her Instagram to tell her many followers: ‘Done it before. Doing it again. Having a break from the [insta]gram. To get out the phone and into REAL LIFE. I spend too much time scrolling through BS.’
In the caption, she also told everyone that there is no reason to worry about her wellbeing.
She’s been doing just fine but she just needs to step away from her online life while working on new music.
‘For the record I’m OK. Happy, healthy and sane. People presume to come off Instagram you’re going through some s**t. Lol. Actually it’s the opposite. I’m in such a great place that I want to respect and to nurture that by looking up and not looking down. Instagram’s fun, but it is not real life. I am off to write a new album. 🔋. Telling just the people who support me. Love you all. Be back soon.’

Jessie went on to also recommend an ‘Instagram cleanse’ to everyone from time to time since it can do ‘no harm.’
Her announcement came after actor Channing Tatum and Jessie’s boyfriend made a similar post on August 7.
He mentioned that his return would only happen upon finding a really good reason.
And, proving that he and Jessie are meant for one another, his reasoning for his break was also related to finding time to be creative again and get inspired.

They joined a pretty long list of celebs who have done such social media ‘cleanses’ in the past, including Sarah Hyland, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez to name just a few.
