Katherine Ryan began her career with Hooters as a corporate trainer, traveling throughout Canada to teach other waitresses and assisting in the opening of the lone UK franchise in Nottingham. She had her debut television appearance in 2012 on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats, which helped her get parts on Channel 4’s Campus. She participated as a celebrity participant on BBC One’s Let’s Dance for Comic Relief on February 23, 2013, when she reached the final and placed fourth.
In 2015, she took over as host of Hair on BBC Two, replacing Steve Jones, and she joined Tinie Tempah’s crew on Sky 1’s music/comedy panel program Bring the Noise 2015.
